There's elements of just about everything thrown into this monster of a novel and Adrian's pacing is absolutely appalling. But there's an interesting meditation on the resilience of humanity tucked away inside this book. Worth taking some time to see, but only if you have nothing better to read - Adrian needs someone to guide his imagination into a form that we can all enjoy together, as opposed to something better seen inside his head.
