Such a brilliant novel about that first year out of college. It's an update of the classic form in the title, it's a story about growing up, it's a book about books.... and I feel like, for better or worse, Eugenides wrote this book for me. It is rare that I feel so deeply connected (even to the bad things, the things that make me uncomfortable and upset) to a book in that cliched way - but I feel it. This book was meant for me and I'm so happy to've read it.
