After feeling tolerant and then borderline annoyed by the first two novels of The Border Trilogy, I wasn't holding out much hope. But this novel is a thing of beauty, truly. You can read it on its own, if you want, but having the threads of John Grady Cole and Billy Parham from their respective novels wind together here is magical. It's lean and just simply gorgeous. It will break your heart but it does it so beautifully that you don't even care. Like a storm moving across an open plain, this novel is a force of nature.More - with spoilers, to warn you - at RB: http://wp.me/pGVzJ-qk
