It has been quite a long time since I've compulsively stayed up to read a book. I honestly can't remember when I said "screw how tired I am" and just kept reading until I literally couldn't go any further. And that happened two nights in a row with this book, including last night when I pushed to the end before going to sleep. It's ambitious and smart, funny and moving, etc etc. But really, it's just wildly imaginative while also paying homage to that notorious decade of the 1980s - the decade, as I think we're starting to realize, when everything changed. So take a classic concept like that of The Westing Game and modernize it with technology. It's a quest novel set inside the most incredible computer simulation you've ever dreamed of.
