Raging Biblioholism

Her Fearful Symmetry

Her Fearful Symmetry - Audrey Niffenegger I had high hopes for this novel and I have to admit that they weren't met. There are a lot of terrific Gothic elements here and the first two thirds are quite the creepy London gray ghost story... but I had an issue with the way it just sort of flattened out, emotionally, at the end. I didn't like the way things played out - it didn't make sense and the big final twist seemed manufactured instead of organic. But reading it over a rainy weekend was definitely enjoyable and it made me think of my gray and rainy second home in London. So you could do a lot worse.More about the failings and the positives at RB: http://wp.me/pGVzJ-n0
