The Snowman

The Snowman - Jo Nesbø What's better than some Nordic mystery to help fight the 100+ temps these days?Another strong entry from Jo Nesbø in his terrific Harry Hole series. Hole gets pitted against Norway's "first" serial killer and the twists come on relentlessly. They're all smart, though (even if one does stretch it a bit), and the last 45 pages are simply fantastic. Hole continues to become a complicated and downright real character and Nesbø's plotting and pacing are some of the best in the business. The book is stronger than the previous three I'd read - but it's only because Nesbø has matured as a writer between then and 'now'.
