Sandman TP Vol 07 Brief Lives New Ed (Sandman New Editions)

The Sandman, Vol. 7: Brief Lives - Peter Straub, Jill Thompson, Vince Locke, Neil Gaiman This one is a family road-trip story. In many ways, that makes it the most accessible story - at least for me, what with a younger sister and all. It also contains one of the most beautiful panels in my personal history of comics and it, again, takes the level of intellectual discourse EVEN HIGHER than before. But moreso than anything else, this feels like the last good moment. I fear truly terrible things are on the horizon. I can't say exactly why I feel that way... but like a storm cloud just behind a ridge that raises the hackles on your neck before you even know it's there, something wicked this way comes. I feel like it will be a rapid rush to the end now - and I'm both excited and nervous about it.More about this particular volume, albeit a little obliquely, at RB: http://wp.me/pGVzJ-zT
